Farming: Food Industry Sustainability Strategy (FISS)
Better Regulation forum (FIBR)
As a part of the development of the Food Industry Sustainability Strategy, Ministers agreed to establish a forum for discussing regulatory issues affecting the food and drink supply chain.
The Food Industry Better Regulation Group (FIBR) met for the first time in July 2006. The FIBR will act as a high-level forum through which industry and Government can add value to policy and legislative proposals, whether arising from the UK, the EU or internationally
The group membership is made up of representatives from industry and government. Meetings will be held quarterly and dates have been established up until Winter 2007. The minutes of these meetings will be available on this page.
If you are involved in the food industry and wish to comment on the work of the Food Industry Better Regulations Group then please contact your industry body or the FIBR Secretariat: fibr@defra.gsi.gov.uk or FIBR, Defra, Area 4A, Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JR.
