Levy Boards restructuring: Levy Board members

John Bright

Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) will have a board that consists of a Chair and nine board members. The board is currently operating as a “Shadow Board” and will retain this status until the legislation creating AHDB is made.

John Bridge was appointed as Chair-Designate of AHDB in October 2006. He will become Chair of AHDB once the new structure comes into effect on 1 April 2008.

The other nine members of the AHDB were appointed in February 2007. They either Chair a specific sector company or are independent, having no vested interest or connection with the sectors covered by statutory levy. The Chair-Designate is also an independent member.
