Introduction
The livestock sector uses up to 65% of agricultural land in England and Defra is developing a strategic approach to policies for the livestock and livestock products industry.
Following CAP reform, the livestock sector is expected to go through a period of major change in the coming years. Our broad aim is to facilitate a diverse, responsible, robust and innovative livestock food chain.
