Downloading the SVG Viewer
A link is provided to the Adobe website to download the SVG viewer. On the download page, scroll down and click on the link that matches the operating system of your computer (e.g. if you have Microsoft Windows, select Win 98-XP).
Save the installation file to your machine, then double-click to install the viewer. On-screen instructions should guide you through the installation process.
This is a one-off download and you will only need to do this the first time you use the map. If you have downloaded the viewer to view different SVG applications on other websites, you should not need to download the viewer again.

Selecting a Joint Character Area (JCA)
- Choose from the alphabetical listing in the drop-down list
Select the JCA by clicking to display the list, then scroll to find the JCA of interest.
Click on the JCA name and the map will zoom to that JCA and the schemes information will be shown to the right of the map. - Select a JCA on the map
Click on the zoom in
tool and
the arrows around the map to navigate to the JCA(s) you are interested in. Hover over the map with the mouse to check the names
of the JCAs and click on the JCA to display the schemes information.
Navigating around the map
Select the zoom in or zoom out 
tool below the map to change the scale that the map is shown at. The map will zoom
in or out based on the current centre-point of the map. To move the map in different directions, click on the arrows
around the map. This allows you to move north, south, east or west.
After zooming in on the map, you can return to view of England by clicking on the "Zoom to England" 
button.
Highlighting JCAs
Hover over any JCA with the mouse and the JCA will be highlighted on the map and the name of the JCA will be shown to the right of the map, above the scheme information text. Click on the JCA you are interested in to display the scheme information and highlight the JCA in grey.
