Water Quality - Sewage Treatment in the UK: Sensitive Areas
Shellfish Waters and Freshwater Fish
The tables below list the current identified Sensitive Areas (Shellfish Waters) and Sensitive Areas (Freshwater Fish).
In the shellfish waters table, each name links to an individual map of that water which includes its delineating coordinates. Each map is around 200 KB in size.
The UK area (EA regions for England) maps of shellfish waters are also available on the maps and tables page.
Sensitive Areas (Shellfish Waters) site maps that include sampling point and boundary co-ordinates are on the Defra website (via the above links) - each individual map is some 200kb in size so the map pages may take a while to download.
