Non-agricultural diffuse pollution of water
Stakeholder workshops on non-agricultural sources of diffuse water pollution
From January to June 2004 a series of workshops, hosted by Defra and the Environment Agency, was held with organisations and individuals with an interest in or responsibility for non-agricultural sources of diffuse pollution.
The purpose of the workshops was to ensure a wider input to the analysis of the nature and impact of non-agricultural sources of diffuse pollution, and the formulation of possible measures to bring those sources under control.
The workshops were sector specific and covered:
- Transport, including a specific workshop for the aviation industry
- Construction
- Industrial estates
- Forestry
- Leisure industries
- Urban land management
Contaminated land
