2004 periodic review of water price limits
In preparation for the 2004 Periodic Review of water price limits, the Secretary of State published her Principal Guidance to the Director-General of Water Services on 11 March 2004.
The Initial Guidance, which was issued in January 2003, set out the potential policy requirements affecting water companies for the period 2005-2010. This Principal Guidance sets out the Secretary of State's main decisions on which environmental and drinking water quality policies should proceed for the 2005-2010 period.
This Principal Guidance will be followed by the Secretary of State's Final Guidance to the Director General in Autumn 2004 which will give final decisions on which policies should proceed.
