Water Industry: the 2004 Periodic Review - Research into Customers' Views
As
part of preparations for the 2004 Periodic Review of water industry investment
plans and charges, a research study has been conducted by MORI for:

This aim of this research study was to:
- "Inform decision makers on customers' priorities for the water industry, by providing a better understanding of customers' views on the scope and pace of potential improvement programmes during 2005 to 2010."
The results of this research will be used to inform stakeholders' views and Ministers' guidance on the investment programme for the periodic review 2004.
The survey process, which involved both qualitative and quantitative work, was undertaken between May and August 2002 at locations across England and Wales. 10 focus groups were conducted across England & Wales as well as 2,076 face-to-face interviews with people representative of the population of England & Wales.
The research revealed that satisfaction with water and sewerage services is high throughout England & Wales. Nearly nine in ten are satisfied and one in fifteen dissatisfied.
