Waste and Resources Research Advisory Group

The Waste and Resources Research Advisory Group (WRRAG) was set up by Defra in 2004, as an ad hoc advisory group to advise implementation of the Waste and Resources Evidence Programme.

Principle objectives
  1. to provide strategic foresight relating to the technical and policy challenges that lay ahead in the field of waste and resources management
  2. to advise on annual programme content priorities and delivery mechanisms, delivering cost-effective programme initiatives
  3. to advise on the development and delivery of clusters of projects within theme areas and to take an active role in project evaluation and control
  4. to take an overview of research funding initiatives across the waste-related arena, suggesting opportunities for collaboration
  5. to ensure programme funding results in the development of sustainable capacity in the research community
