Waste Implementation Programme: Kerbside Best Practice
This work-stream seeks to significantly expand and improve the performance of collection systems for dry recyclables and organic wastes, with a particular focus on kerbside collections. .
An organics market development programme, providing support and investment to the composting sector to develop sustainable and reliable markets for increasing tonnages of organic material. This will include capital investment support for composting technologies, business development advice, continued work on compost standards, research and development work and specific initiatives with the landscaping and horticultural industries.
WRAP is pleased to announce the launch of its new Landmark training programme for the organic waste management industry. A range of different courses have been developed to cover key areas involved in successful compost production and organic waste management.

An advisory service to local authorities on recycling and organics. This will provide technical advice and training for local authorities looking to implement and improve collection systems for recyclable materials and organic wastes. A key aim will be to optimise the management of organic wastes through the appropriate mix of home composting, kerbside collection and use of civic amenity sites.
