The LATS stakeholder group

Defra has established a stakeholder group to input into the development and implementation of LATS. The following organisations are represented:

The Environment Agency will be the monitoring authority for the England and will use the mass balance calculation to monitor the amount of biodegradable municipal waste sent to landfill in any year by each waste disposal authority.

The Waste Implementation Programme can offer help to authorities to plan how to reduce the amount of biodegradable municipal waste sent to landfill as well as offer support, guidance and funding.

WasteDataFlow is the web-based system for waste data reporting by local authorities to government.
