UK Environmental Protection Expenditure Survey
Why Should Your Company Participate?
This is an important survey which aims to produce estimates of the costs to businesses of protecting the environment. The survey is based on a sample of companies and it is vital that companies respond so that accurate results can be produced. If companies do not respond then the results may misrepresent what individual industrial sectors are spending.
There are possible benefits to the company from participating - not just benefits to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. For information on the benefits to your company please see the FAQs page.
It is very important for companies to show that they are aware of and understand environmental issues relating their operations and to show local communities, the public, shareholders, suppliers etc what is being done by the company to protect the environment. Estimating environmental protection expenditure is an important element in environmental reporting to show what contribution your company is making.
The completed questionnaire should be returned in the pre-paid envelope provided or you can complete the questions in Adobe Acrobat reader and then email it to the address on the form. If you have mislaid your questionnaire, please print out and complete the version from the website, sending to the Freepost address on the contacts page.
