Noise and Nuisance - Research Reports
Environmental Resources Management (ERM) - Phase 2 of Research into Neighbour and Neighbourhood Noise
This report was produced for Defra by Environmental Resources Management.
This study built on an earlier Phase 1 research that identified examples of best practices in noise control from the rest of Western Europe. Phase 2 develops a range of practical options that could inform a possible national Neighbour Noise Strategy. Throughout the study the researchers were fully aware of the need to prioritise the ultimate study recommendations in particular with regards to their cost and resource implications. The report produced 22 recommendations, of which the top 5 were ranked as high priority, to be considered for early introductions.
