National indicators
Following extensive consultation in 2007 Government has now published the final national indicator technical definitions, which includes Defra’s indicators.

The webpage for each indicator brings together background information, frequently asked questions, technical definitions and guidance to help local authorities to establish robust collection and monitoring arrangements.

Throughout the development of these indicators, Defra has greatly appreciated the high level of engagement and support from stakeholders. This feedback has been invaluable in shaping our indicators.
CLG have published a formal response to the comments received in the consultation exercise.
