Local Environmental Quality: litter
Achieving improvements in street cleansing
As part of the Government's drive to improve the efficiency and value for money of public services, Defra has formulated guidance for local authorities on how they can achieve improvements in the area of street cleansing and related services. This document was developed in consultation with local authorities and sets out the key challenges to delivering a cost effective and targeted street cleansing service, and possible solutions to those challenges.
It will be supported with a programme of training evaluation for the industry.
