Action in the UK - Individual and community action
Community initiatives and individual behaviour change
We wanted to look at how community initiatives or groups encourage their members to take action to help tackle climate change. We also wanted to look at other areas such, as health, to see if we could learn from different approaches and, overall, how local authorities can help the success of initiatives. The joint Government study to look at these issues was announced in the Energy Review in 2006 and the outputs of the study are below. The Government response to this study will be published in spring 2008, as part of announcements following Defra's Comprehensive Spending Review settlement.
This study does not represent the views of any Government department, and should not be regarded as current or future policy.
