Climate change agreements

Extension Of Eligibility Criteria

Budget 2004 announced the extension of the Climate Change Agreement scheme. The first stage of this extension was launched on 18 June, when Defra wrote to those sectors that have expressed an interest in the extended scheme. Defra's letter and supporting material are available at the end of this section.

As well as the original eligibility criteria for climate change agreements, since 2004 there have also been energy intensity eligibility criteria. The following spreadsheets help Sector Associations in gaining CCAs.

Annex A is for completion by any Sector Associations wishing to establish a new CCA with the Secretary of State under the new entry rules. Annex D is for completion by businesses wishing to set up an agreement with the Secretary of State under the umbrella of a Sector Association completing Annex A.
