Rural Climate Change Panel

The Rural Climate Change Panel came into being in Summer 2003, and was intended to run for two years from its first meeting.

It was originally set up as a sub-group of the Rural Affairs Forum for England which ceased to exist after its final meeting in November 2004, following the new arrangements for stakeholder engagement set out in the Rural Strategy 2004. It is yet to be decided what should happen to the Panel after this point.

A new Rural Climate Change Forum was established in March 2005 and will build on the experience of the Panel.

For further information about the panel see the Terms of Reference.
