UK National Allocation Plan Phase II (2008-2012)

The second phase of the Scheme covers the Kyoto commitment period 2008-2012. The Government has considered its approach to the development of Phase II. In August 2006, the UK National Allocation Plan (NAP) was submitted to the Commission. In November the Commission announced they accepted the UK NAP. Following consultation, the list of installation level allocations was finalised. The Government has submitted the final National Allocation Plan to the Commission and published the Final Allocation Decision including the list of installation level allocations for Phase II of the Scheme.

Approved UK National Allocation Plan

The UK submitted its Final National Allocation Plan for Phase II to the Commission in August 2006 and had the plan accepted in November 2006. The approved plan and the Final Allocation Decision which includes the list of installation level allocations for Phase II was published on 16 March 2007.

Banking of project credits

The UK Phase II NAP allows operators to bank project credits across all years of the phase. Borrowing of credits from future years is not permitted.
