Adapting to climate change

Taking action

We already know that, even with concerted international action to reduce carbon emissions, global temperatures will continue to rise for at least the next 30-40 years. To try and avoid further dangerous change, we all need to take action to cut our carbon emissions.

At the same time, we all - Government, public bodies, businesses and individuals - must begin the process of adapting to living in a changing climate. Many have already started taking action and there are sources of information and advice you can turn to, together with examples of what others have done.
