Advisory Group on Sustainable Consumption and Production Evidence

The Advisory Group on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Evidence was established in September 2005 to provide expert advice to the SCP research programme on evidence development issues, including:

  • Direction and quality of SCP research
  • Stakeholder engagement, internally and externally
  • Promotion/awareness raising, particularly with research funders and evidence providers
  • Organisation and maintenance of evidence
  • Facilitating the use of evidence
  • Building capacity and connectivity with the research community on SCP issues

Future of Advisory Group

This advisory group has now been dissolved and Defra are considering what new advisory structure will be appropriate that will also have oversight of the product policy roadmaps. In future it is intended that there will also be annual open day conference to discuss the SCP Evidence Base Research Programme.
