Theme 2: Sustainable products and services
Aim
Identifying environmental impacts and interventions for products and services using a lifecycle approach in order to support the Sustainable Products and Materials Division policy team and product and service roadmaps development.
The evidence programme for products and services will support the ten product and service roadmaps as well as providing evidence on other priority products and services e.g. tourism, sustainable buildings and transport, as well as determining the impacts of additional UK production and consumption activities e.g. the professional services sector. Where other research programmes are better suited to support the evidence generation of products e.g. the Defra Sustainable Food research programme for the milk roadmap, these will be used instead of the SCP Evidence programme.
