The Sulphur Content of Liquid Fuels Directive (1999/32/EC)
- aims is to reduce emissions of sulphur dioxide resulting from the combustion of heavy fuel oil and gas oil - used on land.
The Sulphur Content of Marine Fuels Directive (2005/33/EC)
- amends the Sulphur Content of liquid Fuels Directive (1999/32/EC). The Directive is aimed at reducing pollution from marine fuels used on sea-going ships.
