Sue Prince OBE is the wife of an organic milk producer, and provider of farm accommodation: bed and breakfast, award winning self catering and wheelchair accessible cottages and ethical weddings. Artist, website designer, mural painter and illustrator of books, she runs Swedish folk-art classes in Sweden and England.
She is an ecotourism business consultant with Fundatia ADEPT and the Prince’s Charities Foundation in the Saxon Villages of Transylvania and other projects in Romania.Sue Prince initiated ‘Peak District Foods’, now a group of 50+ independent producers and was initiator and past consultant to ‘Foods from the Peak District’ project, making ‘Eat the View’ actually work. She was initiator and development Leader of the Peak District ‘Dairy Wagon’ project, funded with help from HRH Prince of Wales, which enables Peak District dairy farmers to learn new skills and develop new dairy products on their farms.
Other posts held include Board member of Advantage West Midlands Regional Development Agency, specialising in tourism and sustainable development agenda; Board member of Enjoy Staffordshire and the Staffordshire Economic Development Partnership. She is also a member of National Trust Land Use and Access Panel. Sue Prince is a member of the governing council of Keele University for sustainable development and was awarded the OBE in 2004 for services to tourism and farming in the East and West Midlands. She was previously a member of the Peak District National Park Authority.
