Climate change and energy

Making a full contribution, domestically and internationally, to addressing the long-term threats presented by climate change and unsustainable energy use, and to ensure adequate mitigation of the consequences which are already unavoidable.

Outcomes we aim to achieve:

  1. Reduction in UK and global greenhouse gas emissions to avoid dangerous climate change; UK successfully adapting to unavoidable climate change and promoting the need for international adaptation.
  2. Every home adequately and affordably heated
  3. Cleaner air through meeting the targets in the National Air Quality Strategy
  4. Risk from flooding and coastal erosion managed in a way which furthers sustainable development
