We are a National and International Reference Laboratory for a wide range of farm animal diseases and have close international links with research institutes and universities.

New Chief Executive appointed at the VLA
Professor Peter Borriello has been appointed VLA's new Chief Executive. He will take up this position on 1 October 2008 following the retirement of Professor Steve Edwards at the end of September.
VLA to offer access to Biolog cell phenotyping technology
This new technology access initiative will be launched at an event to be held at VLA Weybridge on 12 November 2008.
