Information Asset Register
Our Information Asset Register will cover information held by Defra, including databases, old sets of files, recent electronic files, collections of statistics, research etc. While the IAR will concentrate on information resources that have not been formally published, some published items may also be included. It will complement, not duplicate, existing lists of published materials available from Defra, including Defra's Publication Scheme.
Defra's IAR will also be accessible via Inforoute, the new gateway to information held by all UK Government departments. Inforoute will provide direct access to the Government's Information Asset Register, which is an amalgamation of the IARs being created by each Government department, agency, quango and other bodies.
