- ALLC offers an opportunity for discussing and assessing the future role of local government in so far as it relates to those councils who are experiencing significantly different problems from those of smaller parish colleagues. Central government and various public sector agencies concerned with the delivery of services seek the views of the Association prior to the introduction of new legislation or regulations. In addition to this consultative role the Association assists its members whenever possible with financial and legal advice on issues of concern.
