What risks we cover: Animal disease
Defra is responsible for the co-ordination of the response to an outbreak of exotic animal disease eg Foot & Mouth Disease, Avian Influenza, Classical Swine Fever etc. at the local and national level, working closely with partners from other government departments, operational partner and stakeholder organisations.
