Consultation on a draft second edition of IPPC SG8 for A2 activities in the Rendering sector
This is the final consultation on the sixth of the so-called '2-year reviews' of all the Sector Guidance (SG) notes for the local authority IPPC-regime. The 2-year review programme is to reinforce the guidance on non-air matters, which were given limited coverage in the original published notes. It should be noted that this review of the guidance did not examine the air emission limits.
We have sent this letter to members of the technical working group for the rendering sector, as we did with an earlier draft. You may be interested to see the paragraphs relating to ‘Information Provisions’ on page 38 and Appendix 3 on page 48 which provides a ‘Summary of Changes’.
The revised guidance will be issued under regulation 64 of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2007. Defra and the Welsh Assembly Government are carrying out this consultation exercise jointly.
The closing date for this consultation is 11 August 2008.
