Consultation on an Administrative System for dealing with Fisheries Offences
Further to the consultation carried out on ‘Introducing a System of Administrative Penalties for Fisheries Offence’ in 2006, we have now completed our policy formulation on the proposal.
I would like to thank those organisations and individuals who responded to the consultation. The comments received were most helpful in taking matters forward and firming up our policy proposals.
Please find attached the draft Statutory Instrument, Explanatory Note and the RIA which I would be grateful to have your comments on.

In line with Defra’s policy of openness, at the end of the consultation period copies of responses we receive may be made publicly available through the Defra Information resource Centre, Lower Ground Floor, Ergon House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JR.
