Summary
This consultation seeks your views on proposals for the enforcement of the new marine licensing system enabled by the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, which will apply only where the Secretary of State (or delegated authority) is the licensing authority. It proposes the introduction of a system of monetary penalties for licensing offences and a mechanism for people to appeal against statutory notices.
This consultation will be of interest to a wide range of stakeholders including businesses, conservation bodies and environmental groups.
