Dear Consultee,

Consultation on the final phase of implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 21/2004 of 17 December 2003 establishing a system for the identification and registration of ovine and caprine animals and amending Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003 and Directives 92/102/EEC and 64/432/EEC, as amended.

I am writing to invite views on our proposals for the domestic implementation of the final implementation phase of Council Regulation 21/2004, as amended.

Consultation Criteria

This consultation is in line with the Code of practice on Consultations. This can be found at  http://www.berr.gov.uk/bre/.

When this consultation ends, we intend to put a copy of the responses in the Defra library at Ergon House, London. This is so that the public can see them.  Also, members of the public may ask for a copy of responses under freedom of information legislation.
