Publication of the details of Defra’s new performance framework for the period of the Comprehensive Spending Review 2007
Our eight new departmental strategic outcomes were published on the day of the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) settlement.
As part of the CSR settlement, Departments were also required to produce indicators which measure their progress in delivering their Departmental Strategic Outcomes over the new CSR period. Defra will be required to report publicly on its progress against these indicators.
In order to make this process as manageable as possible, in Defra we have divided up our eight agreed Departmental Strategic Objectives into a larger group of just over 30 so-called “intermediate outcomes”, which give more detail of the immediate impact of our policies. We have also developed indicators to measure these intermediate outcomes.
Details of these intermediate outcomes and indicators have now been made available on the Defra webpage which gives details of Defra’s new Performance Framework.
