Workforce monitoring report for diversity

Defra’s overarching goal is to help everyone live within their environmental means by tackling climate change and promoting the natural environment. We champion sustainable development on behalf of the government, and we are the lead department for rural policy. 

We understand that the key to achieving this goal is to build a workforce that is representative of the communities we serve; a workforce where every employee is encouraged and supported to reach their full potential. In our workforce monitoring reports, we report on our workforce profile and examine a collection of diversity data.  The evidence presented demonstrates the extent to which Defra offers equality of opportunity to all of its employees
