Compulsory Scrapie Flocks Scheme
Owners who have a reported and subsequently confirmed case(s) of classical scrapie may be considered for entry to the Compulsory Scrapie Flocks Scheme (CSFS).

Flock Register Scheme
The FR was a voluntary scheme, which benefited sheep farmers by providing a framework to recognise the scrapie resistant status of their flocks. It aimed to encourage farmers to progressively reduce and remove the most scrapie susceptible rams from their sheep flock.
The FR is now closed and new applications or renewals will no longer be accepted.

Ram Genotyping Scheme for Purebred Flocks
This scheme is open to owners of purebred breeding flocks.
It has been announced that all farm visits under the voluntary Ram Genotyping Scheme (RGS) will end in December 2008. No new applications will be accepted from 30 September 2008 and the Scheme will be wound up in March 2009.

Voluntary Scrapie Flocks Scheme (VSFS)
The VSFS was a voluntary scheme for owners of flocks that reported a case of scrapie that was confirmed on their holding between 1 July 1998 and Summer 2004. The scheme closed to new applicants in March 2005.
Semen Genotyping
This service provided genotyping of stored semen to be used in flocks owned by National Scrapie Plan members. This is now closed to new applications.
