Policy Workstream

The overall role of the Policy Workstream is to provide guidance and input on all policy matters relevant to the Livestock Partnership workstreams and projects.

In particular:

  • Provide a view on all upcoming new policy and legislative changes relevant to the Livestock Partnership
  • Where new policy objectives are set or new legislation requires implementation, and Livestock Partnership is fully or partly responsible for delivery, provide direction and guidance to the relevant programme workstream
  • When processes or systems are developed by the programme, provide assessment in terms of policy suitability and legal compliance.
  • Deliver any policy and legislative changes required to implement solutions agreed by the Livestock Partnership’s Programme Board

The Policy Workstream will work with colleagues in Welsh and Scottish devolved administrations to ensure that the GB policy position(s) is clearly understood and reflected within the programme.
