Customer Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of the service we have given you, please contact us straight away by phone, letter or email. It will help us investigate your complaint if you give us as much detail as possible.

We aim to reply within 4 working days, but if that is not possible we will acknowledge your complaint within this time and keep you informed if the reply is likely to take longer than our target of 15 working days for complex cases. Our reply will be in writing from the Team Leader responsible for the team you are complaining about.  It will answer all the points you raised, and explain what we have done to put things right and to avoid it happening again.

If you are unhappy with the reply you can ask Animal Health to carry out an internal review.  Requests should be made to the Complaints Officer.  If you are still dissatisfied you can ask your MP to request that the Independent Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration (the Ombudsman) conducts an independent review of the complaint and how it has been handled.

We publish details of the complaints received each year together with the outcome of our investigation.
