Animal Health News Alert Subscription Service
Animal Health’s free news alert subscription service is designed to help people on the move keep in touch with the latest developments regarding animal disease.
The service is mainly for farmers and livestock keepers, although it’s available to everyone. By registering, you will receive information via your choice of text, fax, voicemail or email on up to five notifiable animal diseases.
- foot and mouth disease
- bluetongue
- avian influenza
- Newcastle disease
- classical swine fever.
To sign up or manage alerts click here. (This will open a new browser window)
The new subscription service complements Animal Health’s and Defra’s other channels for keeping the farming community and stakeholders informed about the latest developments on notifiable animal diseases. These are:
- Defra Helpline 08459 335577
- Animal Health recorded information line 0844 88 44 600
- Animal Health’s instant messaging system which sends messages to customers where contact details are held.
- Defra's Poultry Register on 0800 634 1112 (link) (logon)
Please note that if you are a stakeholder/livestock keeper who is receiving messages already from Animal Health, you have been specifically targeted. Therefore if you register for the subscription service, you may receive some of the same messages through different channels.
