Bluetongue detected in County Durham
Defra today announced the detection of Bluetongue in 18 imported cattle on premises near Bishop Auckland, County Durham. The animals originated from within the BTV8 Restricted Zone in Germany and were detected as a result of post-import testing carried out by Defra on all Bluetongue susceptible animals arriving from Continental Europe. - Read More..

Defra confirms Bluetongue detected in Devon and extension of Protection Zone into Northumberland and Cumbria to allow vaccination in all of England
Defra today announced the detection of Bluetongue (BTV8) in eight imported cattle, on premises near Tiverton, Devon. The animals originated from the same consignment imported from within the BTV8 Restricted Zone in Germany. - Read More..

Bluetongue detected in East Sussex and Hertfordshire
Defra today announced the detection of two cases of Bluetongue (BTV8) in imported rams, on premises near Lewes, East Sussex, and Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Both animals originated from the same premises within the BTV8 Restricted Zone in Central France. These are the first cases of Bluetongue virus positive animals found in the UK this summer. - Read More..
