Extra Mural Studies

Animal Health offer placements to veterinary undergraduates giving them the opportunity to see the work of government veterinarians and technical officers as they manage and support animal health and welfare and conservation, in particular their main area of work tracking and managing down the economic and public health risks associated with notifiable animal disease

Each placement will last up to 2 weeks subject to each individual Animal Health Divisional Office (AHDO). The activities each student will experience will vary according to the industry and priorites managed by each of our 24 AHDOs across the UK.

Please note application to the scheme does not guarantee a placement .
