Circus and Animal Act Registration and Passport Charges
In accordance with regulation 4 of The Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (Laboratories, Circuses and Avian Quarantine) Regulations 2007, the Secretary of State hereby publishes the figures used to calculate fees payable in relation to the movement of circus animals to EU member states.
All examinations of circus animals must be carried out by official veterinarians (OV), under terms agreed between the applicant and the OV.
- Registration of a circus for EU movement (includes Register document) - £93 per circus or animal act
- Individual animal passport - £2 per passport
- Bird and rodent group passport - £2 per passport
Example
Below is an example of the fees an applicant can expect to pay for the registration of a circus or animal act
A circus owner has a group of birds, a group of rodents and 10 other animals that he wishes to tour around the EU. The fee payable would be –
