PETS: Dogs, cats and ferrets

Approved EU routes and transport companies

The following routes and transport companies may be used to bring pet dogs, cats and ferrets into the UK from European Union PETS countries and territories. Pets travelling on a sea crossing or by rail must accompany passengers with a vehicle unless otherwise shown. Companies that require the plane to be booked, not just the ticket, are shown on the separate charter list. Certain routes only carry guide/hearing dogs. On some air routes, registered assistance dogs may travel in the cabin. The list available here gives details.

Routes may change and new ones may be added. See this website or ring the Helpline for the latest information. Some routes are seasonal or irregular so check availability and all your other proposed travel arrangements with the transport company before booking your journey to the UK. Check the costs, requirements and procedures. Companies may have their own additional conditions of travel, which could include a health declaration for your pet.
