Import of animal by-products from third countries – New certificates
Purpose
1. To remind stakeholders of the required certification for animal by-products from third countries.
Background
2. Please see the attached Customer Information Note API 2008/113 issued today.
Action for OVSs
3. Any consignment that is presented at BIP accompanied by the ‘old style’ health certificates should be rejected and either re-exported or destroyed.
4. Please be aware of the new Blood Products certificates and the instructions referred to in OVS Note 2008/37 issued on 20 June.
