Imports of beef from Brazil
Purpose
1. To advise you that the European Commission has taken action to restrict imports of beef from Brazil.
Background
2. Please see Customer Information Note API/2008/15/EC issued today.
Action for OVSs
3. Any consignments that do not meet EU requirements should be rejected and either re-exported or destroyed.
4. If consignments are to be returned to Brazil, OVSs should note the contents of OVS note 2008/1.
