International trade: Importer Information Notes - Milk
Importer Information Notes contain specific details of the conditions for imports of live animals/products of animal origin.
Third countries (countries outside the European Union (EU))
- Milk and milk based products (BP IIN 2A) - conditions of import for milk and milk based products, which have undergone a single heat treatment and are not intended for human consumption
- Heat treated milk based products (BP IIN 2B) - conditions of import for heat treated milk based products with a pH reduced to less than 6 not intended for human consumption for dispatch to the European Community
- Milk and milk based products (BP IIN 2C) - conditions of import for milk and milk based products, which have undergone a sterilisation or a double heat treatment and are not intended for human consumption
- Heat-treated milk, milk-based products for human consumption (MILK IIN 12) - conditions of import for milk and milk products (excluding composite milk products containing milk) for human consumption (as defined by Council Directive 92/46/EEC)
- Raw milk from third countries for human consumption (MILK IIN 13) - Raw milk from third countries intended to be accepted at a collection centre, standardisation centre, treatment establishment or processing establishment in the European Community and then to be used for human consumption
EU countries and Norway
- Milk and milk-based products (IIN EU-MMP01) - Conditions of import for milk and milk-based products intended for human consumption from EU Countries and Norway
