International trade: Importer Information Notes - Gelatine & collagen
Importer Information Notes (IINs) contain specific details of the conditions for import of live animals/products of animal origin.
- Gelatine intended for human consumption (BAL IIN 4)
- Raw material for the production of gelatine intended for human consumption (BAL IIN 4A)
- Gelatine derived from ruminant bones or pigskins, intended for human consumption, from the USA (BAL IIN 5)
- Collagen derived from bovine hides and/or pigskins, intended for human consumption, intended for dispatch from the United States of America (BAL IIN 5A)
- The IIN relating to Collagen intended for human consumption is being updated. Please contact Defra for further advice
- The IIN relating to raw material intended for the production of collagen intended for human consumption is being updated. Please contact Defra for further advice
