International trade: Customer Information Notes - APE/2008/86

Export of feed and feed additives of animal origin to the Russian Federation: Update to notes for guidance (NFG).
1. Revised notes for guidance are now available for the export of feed and feed additives of animal origin to the Russian federation (6421NFG)
2. Exporters should be aware that para 4 of the notes for guidance now explains that exporters must obtain official authorisation from Russia in order to use 6421EHC for petfood exports and, at the time of application, must provide the AHDO (Animal Health Divisional Office) with a declaration stating that they have such authorisation. The NFG go on to explain procedures that exporters must follow.
3. Should exporters require a specimen copy of the export health certificate and the notes for guidance or other associated documents, they should contact their local Animal Health Office.
