International trade: Customer Information Notes - APE/08/72
Restrictions on the export of fish, fish and seafood products to the Russian Federation
You should be aware of restrictions on the export of fish, fish and seafood products to the Russian Federation. Only three fish processing premises have been granted approval to export to the Russian Federation. The restrictions took effect on 15 April 2008.
The restrictions follow an inspection of a number of fish exporting premises in Scotland and Northern Ireland by the Russian Service of Federal and Sanitary Control in February 2008. We currently have no further information about the reasons for the restrictions or for how long the restrictions are likely to last but we will provide you with more information as soon as we receive it.
6419EHC and 6430EHC for the export and pre-export of fish and fish products have been withdrawn from general use and can only be made available to the three approved premises.
