4 May 2009 - New food checker: People travelling outside the EU this summer can now easily check what food they can, and can’t, bring back to the UK. The new food checker is available at: www.direct.gov.uk/dontbringmeback. A news release has been published.
1 May 2009 – Summary of new personal import rules for animal products – There are new rules covering personal imports of animal products (e.g. meat, dairy, fish etc.) into the United Kingdom. There is no change to the ban on imports of meat and dairy products from most countries outside the European Union (EU) but some changes to the amounts of other animal products which are permitted.
